Aamir Khan and Salman Khan starrer hilarious film 'Andaz Apna Apna'(1994), was supposed to be made in animated 3-D version. But, now it looks like the animated version will not see the light of the day.
Siddharth Jain, who was producing the film, said that the project is on the back burner for now due to funds issue.
Siddharth said, "I think the animation format has not picked up in India. It held a lot of promise a few years ago, but not anymore. If the situation improves, I shall definitely go back to the film."
According to sources, the animated version was estimated to be made at the budget of Rs. 15 crore. The film is almost 35 per cent complete and the buzz is that Salman had even agreed to lend his voice to the film. However, Aamir was not approached yet.
A source close to the development said, "The decision is purely from a business point of view. Why invest money, unless there is a market for your product?"
Let see will this film ever see a green light.
