Although Farah Khan has found the leading lady of 'Happy New Year' in Deepika Padukone, the casting is far from over. The director is yet to find an actor for one of the main roles and these days she is asking her friends to help her out with a few suggestions.
A source told TOI, "It is an important character and the role requires a good-looking and athletic person. The team has got in touch with Vidyut Jamwal. But, nothing has been finalised yet." The source added, "Prithviraj (last seen in Aurangzeb), who was also considered for the role, was dropped off the list as he jumped the gun and announced that he has been confirmed for the role."
According to sources, Vidyut has a good chance of clinching the role. The film is scheduled to go on floors in September, and Farah has little time left to close the deal. The film already has a stellar cast including Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani and Vivaan Shah.
